Legionella bacteria can spread in man-made hot and cold water systems if the water temperature allows this to happen.
The prime temperature for bacteria to proliferate at is between 20 - 45 degrees Celsius.
Hopsy can generate tasks for venues to probe their hot and cold water systems to ensure temperatures are not within this danger zone.
Step 1
Log into Hopsy and head to your company settings by clicking your company name in the bottom left.
You must be a 'company staff member' in order to access the settings. Click here for how to add company staff.
Step 2
Select the 'Settings' tab along the top of the page, and click into the 'Water Temp Checks' section.
Step 3 - Toggle the switch to on to enable the checks.
Step 4 - Choose from weekly or monthly tasking.
Step 5 - Click update
Tasking will begin immediately at your venues.
Down at the venue, guidance will be given on how to perform the checks, and the acceptable temperature ranges will be highlighted.
The 'Corrective Actions' section allows for information capture in instances where changes must be made.
