You can configure your venue toilets on Hopsy and therefore, how many separate toilet check tasks are generated in the system.

  1. Firstly - Ensure you understand how toilet check tasks work in Hopsy. For a full explanation of this function, please see the article: 'How do toilet checks work?'.

To configure your toilets, head to the 'Toilet Checks' section under the 'Compliance' dropdown.

All venues have a 'Men's Toilet', and a 'Women's Toilet' by default.

Here you can choose to add another toilet, or to manage the default toilets.

Adding a toilet allows you to choose a toilet name and determine the questions you are asked during a toilet check.

Managing the existing toilets allows you to:

  • View the toilet check history

  • Edit the toilet check questions

  • Archive the toilet (take it out of service and cease all checks on this toilet)

How can I edit the toilet check questions?

  • Clicking 'Manage Toilet' and 'Edit' allows you to determine exactly the questions that you are asked during a toilet check. You will need to do this for each of your toilets.

  • You can rephrase any question, remove the default questions with the 'Remove' button, or add new questions too.

  • Having the ticket box ticked allows the creation of new tickets if an issue is found during a toilet checks. See article: Using 'Tickets' for more information.

How do I archive toilets?

  • Clicking 'Manage Toilet' and 'Archive' archives the toilet selected. No toilet check tasks will be generated for archived toilets.

Archived toilets remain listed in the system for reference and toilet check history will always remain available. You can view this by clicking 'Manage Toilet'.

Archived toilets can also be unarchived at any time in the 'Manage Toilet' screen.
